Although, the cooking processes and ingredients vary by region, they all have one thing in common – preparing your seafood of choice as you see fit. Seafood boil alone is a very generic term, but generally shellfish are the central component. In many cases, they are social gatherings, parties, or fundraisers, similarly to a fish fry or barbecue dinner. A lot of people boil seafood for bigger holidays, like Memorial Day or the Fourth of July.
